Phil Ivey Will Represent Team Full Tilt in the WSOP Main Event Final Table
After 8 days of gruelling competition Phil Ivey has somehow found a way to wade through a 6494 person field to make the final ‘November Nine’ table. This is truly quite the feat for the best player in the world today and arguably the best player of all time. Phil Ivey’s success is great for poker because it shows that poker is a game of skill and the most skilled players in the world, do actually have a better chance of winning a tournament like this than the amateurs.
Now that Ivey has made the final table, WSOP representatives and ESPN producers can breathe a sigh of relief because his presence alone will ensure the November 9th final table is a success. The pay per view broadcast could very well break some records.
Phil Ivey is 8th in chips and is well back of chipleader Darvin Moon, but this hasn’t stopped Bodog from offering a 4 to 1 line on Ivey. This is surely a bad bet even with Ivey’s huge edge on everyone at anytime. If Ivey does manage to pull off the miracle and win the World Series of Poker main event it will no doubt cement his place as the best poker player of all time and he is still in the early stages of his poker playing career having not yet reached 40 in age.
I will surely be cheering for Ivey on November 9th and I hope you all do as well. A victory by him would be great for poker. In the meantime check out Ivey online at Full Tilt Poker playing the highest stakes possible against top online players such as Gus Hansen and Patrik Antonius.
